A roof top bar in central Launceston, Tasmania, the Plough Inn Pub required an all-weather waterproof retractable roof system with a high wind tolerance to maximise their use of the space. Melbourne Awning Centre designed and installed two retractable roof systems, each 6m x 9m, covering 108 square metres of existing terrace. The roof systems were split into two operable bays, allowing one area to be closed whilst the other is open.

Long-term benefits are to maximise the use of the area year round. Due to the 9m projections, we used our exclusive European Supa Trak System, maximising the systems limits. Set two stories above the street, it was a challenging project requiring crane access from the narrow streets of Launceston. Our team however negotiated these issues with ease with a great result.
