Mav's family restaurant is a stalwart of the Geelong riverfront and a place that the Melbourne Awning Centre team has enjoyed more than once. 

Our brief was to design and install a retractable roof system to accommodate difficulties with the ever changing Melbourne climate, and to enhance the capacity of the Greek Tavern with an additional 44 sqm of usable space. This is a common situation for restaurants and cafes where if the Melbourne weather is unkind then they can't sit patrons outside. 

We designed and installed a sophisticated and sturdy all-weather retractable roof system that is 11 metres long and 4 metres wide. For our clients, this means that even if it is raining they can seat up to 40 more people outside. This is much better than having to turn hungry patrons away at the door, and of course, it is good for business.
