Covid Melbourne Outdoor Dining Grants

Melbourne Hospitality Business Grant To Improve Outdoor Areas
With the extended Covid-19 lockdowns, and uncertainty in the future, restaurants, bars, clubs and all hospitality venues in Melbourne and across Victoria have faced the toughest times in living memory.
Having reviewed successful business support models in New York and other hard-hit places the Victorian Government has introduced a fast-track grant of $5000 to help businesses improve their outdoor spaces to help them continue operating safely and if possible with increased capacity. This grant comes from the $58 million Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package.
These grants are accessible for licensed and unlicensed hospitality businesses such as restaurants, cafes, bars/pubs/taverns, clubs and food takeaways. Not only have they made funds available, but also committed to loosening council regulations to make things easier and quicker for business to adapt. This means allowing businesses to have more outside dining spaces and developing dedicated areas across the city including closed off streets creating outdoor precincts for pop up restaurants and more.
If you’re a hospitality business in or around Melbourne you are most likely eligible for the $5000 quick turn-around grant so check the outdoor eating and entertainment package here.
